Babies and children with their parents are an LLL Area Conference’s most distinctive and heartwarming sight. We welcome all parents and their children. Each family is responsible for meeting its children’s needs in a way that respects the needs of others at the conference and Unicoi State Park. If your child is fussy and is not quickly comforted by nursing or distraction, please take him/her to an appropriate area until he/ she is comforted. Feel free to leave a session to visit one of our other activities. You are always welcome to rejoin a session in progress.
Due to safety regulations, strollers are not permitted, with the exception of parents of multiples and parents or children with disabilities.
We’re planning two fun-filled days for children attending the Area Conference. We will not have a Children’s Activity Center at our conference this year. Unicoi State Park offers children’s sessions that are directed and led by Park Rangers. Each session costs only $1.00 and space must be reserved in advance. No walk-in registrations will be available for the children’s activities. The Park Rangers will have an exact amount of supplies to cover the children registered. All activities are appropriate for toddlers through teens, there are no minimum ages except where noted on the session description. Children under twelve must be accompanied by an adult. Children ages 13 - 18 must have an adult give oral permission to the Ranger at the start of each session. Space is limited, register early!
The Silent Auction will feature goods and services donated by exhibitors, businesses, organizations and individuals throughout the area. Conference participants can bid (silently) on these items, with the highest bidder winning the item. The Auction will close on Saturday at 4:35, before the Closing Session begins. Winners will be announced during the Closing Session in the auditorium.
La Leche League of Georgia Groups will create theme-related baskets for sale through a ticket drawing. Purchase inexpensive tickets to place in your favorite theme basket(s) container. A winning ticket will be drawn for each basket at the Closing Session. Groups will assemble a wide variety of basket themes such as Pamper Mom Basket, New Baby Basket, Toddler Basket, Arts & Crafts Basket, Bakers Basket, etc. If you are interested in donating a Theme Basket, send an email to: lllgaconference@gmail.com
Earn ten free Theme Basket Drawing tickets to use in our exciting LLL of Georgia Group Theme Basket Drawing! For each donated hour in the Bookstore, or during Registration, you will receive a gift of ten basket drawing tickets. Teens and fathers are welcome to participate! Look for Volunteers on the Registration Form to note your interest.
Meals are not included in your registration fee and must be purchased separately. See the enclosed registration form for prices and details. Meals must be reserved by April 15th.
